Life Giving: The Forgotten Way
The way of Solo Theopneustos is not new — in fact, it is the one and only, the original and most ancient path to God. In fact, it is not merely a path to God but unification with God. It is the covenant made not in stone, but in the Spirit. It is the witness of all who lived by faith before the law including Christians such as: Abel, Enoch, Abraham, and the prophets. They were justified without the Torah, because they breathed with God. John 1:1-5, “In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God. He existed in the beginning with God. God created everything through him, and nothing was created except through him. The word gave life to everything that was created, and his life brought light to everyone. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it.”
The Mosaic Law was a temporary guardian — but it failed, not because of God, and not because it was not good, but because of humanity’s inability to uphold it. Christ came not to patch the old Covenant, but to fulfill it, thus bringing it to an end. His death fulfilled the law for those who believe. And where there is no law, Paul says, there is no sin. Sin has no dominion over those who are under grace. Galatians 3:24, “Let me put it another way. The law was our guardian until Christ came, it protected us until we could be made right with God through faith. “. Romans 4:15 ” For the law always brings punishment on those who try to obey it. The only way to avoid breaking the law is to have no law to break!”
In this new covenant — breathed, not written — the believer is united with Christ. There is no condemnation, no separation, and certainly no guilt. The life of the Spirit replaces the rule of the law. The Lord’s Supper declares it: we are in a covenant that cannot be broken, because it does not depend on us — it depends on Him.
This is not reform. This is resurrection. This is Solo Theopneustos: the forgotten way, now remembered. We walk not by religion, not by effort, not by tradition — but by His Living Breath.
